Today is one of our favorite days of the year – Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-A.
Now, if you’ve never heard of it, you are missing out. On July 9th each year, if you go to Chick-fil-A dressed up in Cow Gear, you will get a free entree!
It seems like this event has evolved and changed over the years. We started doing it when Jack was just about two-years-old, and it’s been a fun thing to participate in.
Here are a few pictures from over the years:
When we first started doing it, Chick-fil-A had a sign, spots, ears and tails that you can print off on their website. However, last year they took them off for some reason!
So I decided to make my own “Eat Mor Chikin” sign. I found the Chick-fil-A font online and just created this sign online.
Since I’m sure I am not the only one looking for this, I thought I would share it with all of you.
You just need to print it off, and cut the black holes out, and then put some string through those.
For the rest of your costume, here’s what we do. We wear either black or white clothing and cut out spots from black and white paper.
Then we secure them on with tape! I usually cut out some ears that we put on hats with tape as well.
Easy as pie. We always talk about making reusable costumes…but this seems to work well.
So if you’d like the sign, just click the download button below to get the PDF or right click the image to get a JPG version. Print off as many as you’d like!
Not able to make it today? Don’t worry – you can make this copycat Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich at home!
