Butcher Box is a company that has gained a lot of popularity over the past few years – especially in 2020.

Most Popular Butcher Box Cuts

I reached out to Butcher Box to see what their best sellers in 2020 were, and they said the most popular options were:

  • Ground Beef
  • Bacon
  • Ribeyes
  • Boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • NY Strip Steaks
  • Uncured Bacon
  • Boneless pork chops
  • Filet Mignons
  • Sockeye Salmon
  • Top Sirloin Steaks

Having tried most – if not all – of these items, I can attest to their quality and taste. I am definitely partial to their ground beef and bacon.

I thought about building the meal plan off of all of those, but I decided I would be able to get more meals/bang for your buck approaching this meal plan a little different.

Instead, I decided to build a “Large Box” that you could replicate. In the large box, you get 12 cuts of meat, so I selected a variety that I felt would be easy to cook with and that you could get multiple meals out of!

You can easily replicate this box by going into your Butcher Box account, selecting the large box, and then adding the following meats to your box:

  1. 2 lb 85/15 ground beef
  2. 2.25 lb chuck roast
  3. 3 lb boneless skinless chicken breast
  4. 3 lb bone-in chicken thighs
  5. 10 ounces bacon
  6. 2 lb sockeye salmon
  7. 5.5 lbs bone in pork butt
  8. 4 Boneless Pork Chops
  9. 2 lb ground Italian sausage
  10. 2 lb steak bites
  11. 2.8 lb Baby Back ribs
  12. 2.5 lbs round roast

Below you will find a meal plan that has various recipes – some are from Clarks Condensed and others are from the Butcher Box website. But it should give you a good idea of what all you can do with your upcoming box.

This meal plan should feed about four people. There are enough recipes to cook for five days during the week. On the remaining two days, you can eat leftovers, choose a meatless meal, or go out to eat!
