Forrest randomly mentions that he loves pigs in a blanket – you know, hot dogs wrapped in some kind of bread (usually a crescent roll.) A few days ago, I thought I would make him and Jack some pigs in a blanket with a fun twist.
I decided to add some diced green chiles and shredded cheddar cheese to this recipe. One of the foods that Colorado is more or less known for is green chile, so I thought it was kind of a fun shout out to the state we live in! Bar-S is having a fun “Cartin’ Round the Country” social campaign, celebrating regional hot dog renditions around the country, so I thought this was fitting for that!
