Irish kisses sign for St. Patricks Day Decor

We love St. Patrick’s Day in my family. My grandmother truly embraced her Irish heritage and made sure that we all knew about our family’s roots. As a result, I grew up loving the holiday!

I also like to change my decorations often, but stay within the Farmhouse style. Unfortunately, most of the St. Paddy’s Day Decor in stores is…well, not at all my style. So, I decided to make my own farmhouse decor, and I love this sign!

DIY Farmhouse Decor

I always have a stack of wood and lumber in my garage to make a quick sign. But, if you don’t check your local home improvement store and ask them to cut a piece of wood to your desired size.

Once I pick out a piece of wood to use, I lightly paint it with chalk paint. Then, I’m ready to decorate the sign.

St. Paddy’s Day Sign Supplies

You will only need a few supplies to make this stunning St. Patrick’s Day Sign. And, if you are a crafter, I am sure you have everything you need already. I created a cut file in Cricut Design Space, but, I want to show you how easy it is to customize a cut file to match your style too!

Step 1

A screenshot of a computer with St Patrick\'s decor idea on screen

Find and open the shamrock image in Cricut Access. This Clover had the word Irish in the middle of it. I didn’t like that part, but I liked the shape.

Step 2

Select the image and click on contour in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.

This will allow you to hide the text, but keep the clover.

Step 3

I could have just cut the clover and pressed it on to a small square block, but I wanted a sign for our mantel, so I added text.

I typed out IRISH KISSES SHAMROCK WISHES using the Kyden Font from Design Space.

Step 4

Once you are happy with your design, weld it together. I did not do this for this project to allow you to customize it some.

Then, send it to cut. Don’t forget to place your Iron On on the mat shiny side down, and mirror the cut.

Step 5

Weed the excess Iron On. Then, place it on your sign blank.

Step 6

Cover the Iron On with the Protective Sheet and press it onto the sign.

That’s it! I love being able to make custom decor for our home!

Jessica Everyday Party Magazine

You could say my blogging journey is a little bit Erin Brockovich, a whole lot creative mom.

Life took a crazy turn with the birth of my third child, who had so many health issues we weren’t sure if he’d live. Eventually he and his younger brother were both diagnosed with an auto-immune disorder that mimics disease found in Asian children exposed to Agent Orange. We believe ground water tainted by a chemical testing facility near our home is likely to blame.

I wasn’t about to let health challenges get in the way of CELEBRATING life with my children and started planning fairly elaborate, themed events in the security of my home. Today I am an established party blogger looking to partner with brands on budget-friendly, DIY home celebrations.

Jessica’s work has been featured on such notable party blogs and magazines such as Catch My Party, Hostess With The Mostess, Bird’s Party Magazine, Amy Atlas, lilsugar, and Spaceships and Laserbeams.
