I love to plan parties. One of my (hundreds) of jobs I think I would love would have to be being an event planner. It always frustrates me when I see these blog posts where people are like, “Stop planning creative parties, blah blah blah, it makes everyone else feel bad” because for me, planning a fun party is something I truly enjoy doing!
So when the opportunity arose to help plan my sister-in-law, Charbel’s, baby shower, I was so excited. My sister, Diana, came up with the idea for a Dr. Seuss baby shower. Luckily, Pinterest is full of awesome Dr. Seuss party ideas, so we took those, add our own twists, and came up with a rather fun party.
Today, I’ll just be showing a basic overview of how everything turned out. We had lots of people tell us how fun and clever everything was, so I thought it was a success. First, here is my lovely sister-in-law, Charbel. Doesn’t she look great for being due in September?!

I think this was probably my favorite thing we made — a Dr. Seuss themed diaper cake! It was surprisingly a lot easier to make than I thought, and I will definitely be doing a tutorial later this week. I was so excited to find the book, Oh, Baby, the Places You’ll Go!: A book to be read in Utero (affiliate link) , which is a play off of Dr. Seuss’s Oh The Places You’ll Go. It really was such a cute book and was the perfect topper for the cake.

We played a couple of small games . . .
And of course, ate tons of delicious food! Here’s the entire spread:
