The Best Hotels Near Disneyland with Family Suites

The Best Hotels Near Disneyland with Family Suites

We are going to Disneyland in October, and I swear, the amount of time I spent researching hotels was a bit ridiculous.

You would have thought I was moving to the hotel based on the research I was doing. I think I did less research when we bought our house last year #ridiculous.

Well, let me back that up a little bit. When I first went to book our vacation, I hadn’t so much as looked at the hotels. I had so much back and forth with my wonderful travel agent at Get Away Today, and even though I probably would have gone crazy if I were her, she was so patient and helpful.

I got to the point where I realized I just had to look at ALL the hotels available, compare the specs, and go from there.

Today, I’m going to be sharing with you the best hotels near Disneyland with family suites. Because we are going with my in laws, I wanted to make sure we had enough room for everyone for the six nights we would be staying.

I did a lot of Google searching, and I didn’t find a lot of information on family suites near Disneyland – mainly just some forums about places that may have in the past.

So I ended up combing through all of the Get Away Today partnered hotels, called many of them, and scoured their websites (and Google images) to make sure they had what I was looking for. They really do have the best Disneyland hotel deals around.

As I was compiling this list, I decided to have a specific criteria – based on the things that are important to my family when booking hotels for Disneyland trips. Below, you will find hotels that:

  • Within about one mile of Disneyland – I think it’s nice to find a hotel near Disneyland for your trip if possible.
  • Offer a free breakfast
  • Are actual suites – there is at least one bedroom with a separate living space

All of these hotels near Disneyland with family suites can be booked through Get Away Today – I highly recommend using them to book your vacation. We’ve used them several times, and it’s always a great experience. They also offer certain perks that you won’t get otherwise – for instance, many of the hotels they partner with waive the parking, resort, etc. fees when you book through GAT! You can get $10 off any vacation package when you use the code Clarkscondensed at checkout (or mention us when you book over the phone!)

One thing to keep in mind is that all these hotels do offer a shuttle as part of the ART service. You can purchase tickets for $5 per day at the desk. However, if you go through Get Away Today to get your ART pass, you can typically get the passes for cheaper!

Walkable Rating – if a hotel is less than 15 minutes away (walking) via Google Maps, I have put that it is walkable.

Pricing – I have put a star rating next to each hotel. Keep in mind that prices will vary depending on when you go, so I can’t really put exact price ranges. Here is the scale for that:

* – Budget
** – Mid Range
*** – Upper Mid Range
**** – Luxury/Expensive

I mention this one first not because it’s the fanciest of hotels, or even because it’s the closest to Disneyland. I mention it because I think it gives you a huge value for your money, and the suites are very spacious. It also has great reviews across the board.

They also decorate the rooms in Disney-style, which really makes the experience even more fun.

This was actually my first choice for when we went to Disneyland, but it was sold out for several of the days we were going. They have some great options for rooms – multiple rooms, bunk beds, and even two bathrooms in some of them. The price is pretty unbeatable compared to many hotels in the area.

This is one of the hotels I was contemplating for our trip – I think it made it to my top three hotels. It’s about .8 miles away from Disneyland, and it has several suite options, including:

Distance from Disneyland: .8 miles – NOT WALKABLE. However, many people say that you can get on the Toy Story shuttle really easily, which makes it a lot easier to get to Disneyland, and you can avoid using the ART shuttle or Disneyland parking.

Overall, this hotel gets good reviews for being a comfortable place to stay with lots of room. The main complaints I say had to do with the WiFi being super slow. Many people say that they were easily able to work to Disneyland from here, as well as plenty of restaurants.

This is a brand new hotel that is very closer to the park. Staybridge Suites are typically quite nice, so this would be a good option for anyone who wants something nice that’s right by the park. It’s actually pretty reasonably priced as well. It doesn’t have quite as good of reviews as the other Staybridge hotel, though.

Distance from Disneyland: This is pretty close to the park, but when talking with a friend, she said she wouldn’t suggest walking. Upon looking on Google Maps, it is about a 20 minute walk, and it’s not in the most convenient walking location. For that, I would say this is NOT WALKABLE.

Suite Options: They just have one suite option at this location

  • One bedroom Queen Suite – two queen beds and a sofa bed.

Free Breakfast: Yes, hot breakfast.

Kitchen:  Each room has a kitchen

Free Parking: $10 a night (you save $8 by booking through Get Away Today).

This one looks really nice, though it’s definitely one of the priciest of the options.

  • Standard One Bedroom Suite – 2 Queen, Sofa Bed

Free Breakfast: Yes, hot breakfast.

Kitchen:  Each room has a kitchen

Pool: Yes – rooftop pool. This would be fun for watching fireworks in!

This is were we are staying while we are at Disneyland. It’s not the closest, but it has what we need, and we can ride the shuttle pretty easily! I’m always a fan of Residence Inn Hotels. They also have a BBQ, outdoor area, and complimentary snacks Monday through Wednesday during hospitality hour.

Distance from Disneyland: About 1.6 miles from Disneyland. NOT WALKABLE.

Suite Options:

  • One Bedroom Queen Suite – 2 queen, sofa bed
  • Two Bedroom Kid’s Bunk Bed Suite – 1 King, sofa bed, bunk bed

This is also a newer hotel that is about a 13 minute walk to Disneyland. It looks really nice! It has some of the highest reviews I’ve seen for a hotel. It looks pretty booked out though for the near future.

I’m usually a pretty big fan of the Embassy Suites. This one seems to have a fancy breakfast, as well as a manager’s reception every night. It’s a little further, but it looks quite nice. The reviews on Get Away Today are subpar, so that’s something to keep in mind. The sleeping options aren’t my favorite, but they do have suites. It is safari themed!

Distance from Disneyland: 1.2 miles – NOT WALKABLE.

Suite Options:

  • King Suite – King, Sofa Bed
