Disneyland Halloween 2017: What to Expect
What’s better than Halloween itself? Halloween Time at Disneyland! Every year is spook-tacular, but this year is going to be better than ever before. Disney California Adventure is going to be part of the festive fun, making it a year you won’t want to miss!

Now that you can’t wait to go to Disneyland for such a killer deal, let’s talk about the Halloween Time magic you’ll experience when you go.
First, the holiday ride overlays make certain attractions even more magical.
These include Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy.
You can also experience these touches over at Disney California Adventure this year in Cars Land. Brace yourself for some serious fun as Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree turns into Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi’s Rolickin’ Roadsters transforms into Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween. You’ll also see some of your favorite Cars characters in full Halloween costume – how frightfully fun is that?
Fall décor is already amazing enough, let Disney get a hold of it and you are in for some boo-tiful fall-time magic! From pumpkins to witch hats, brooms and autumn leaves, you’ll think you stepped into a Disney autumn wonderland. Filled with happy haunts and festive flare, you will love every turn you take at the Disneyland Resort.
You also won’t want to miss the Pumpkin Festival on Main Street, U.S.A. where you can snap a photo in front of the classic Mickey Mouse pumpkin – it’s huge! Head over to Frontierland to be a part of Dias de los Muertos and continue to have a magical time. Once you’ve experienced the fun in Disneyland, soar over to California Adventure where you’ll be greeted by Oogie Bookie from The Nightmare Before Christmas, with bats circling overhead. You’ll also have a fun photo op in front of the Headless Horseman statue on Buena Vista Street. Step into Radiator Springs and be blown away at its transformation into Radiator Screams. Like I said before, this is not a year you want to miss.
Speaking of things you won’t want to miss, have you heard of Mickey’s Halloween Party? This is yet another reason why the Disneyland Resort is the place to be during Halloween Time. The party is a separate ticketed event and includes an exclusive fireworks show called Halloween Screams Fireworks, Frightfully Fun Parade and of course, trick-or-treating and photo ops with the villains. You could see characters like Captain Hook, Jafar, and Maleficent and have a frightfully delightful time with your family. If you’re not going to the party, make sure you have a Park Hopper ticket and head over to Disney California Adventure for your own party. Or, if you have a 1-Park Per Day ticket, make sure to use it for California Adventure that day, since Disneyland will be closing early to those not attending the party.
If the rides, décor and festive fun aren’t enough then the seasonal sweets will be! With the famous pumpkin churros, candy-dipped apples and butterscotch beignets, you’ll be immersed in the flavors of the season. If you’re craving something else, try the Bat Mickey Cookie, Cookies and Cream Mousse Coffin Cake or Apple Pie Funnel Cake. Whatever you choose, you can’t go wrong with these adorable and delicious treats.
