Amazon Baby Box
One thing about being pregnant is being able to get some of the fun baby freebies that are available!
In the baby/pregnancy groups I’m currently in, the one I see people most curious about is the Amazon Baby Registry Welcome Box.
There seems to be a lot of questions about it – what’s inside, how do you actually get it, etc.
I’ve been meaning to order one myself, and I finally got around to it a few weeks ago.
I was actually very pleasantly surprised with the quality of what was inside the box. I had gotten the Babylist Box a while back, and I wasn’t as thrilled – so I was excited to get some items we actually will use with our sweet little one when he arrives in September.
I would imagine they change the contents of the box every now and then, so if you get this box and don’t get exactly what I did…don’t get mad at me! But here is what I got in my box in July of 2019 – and how you can get one!
Here are some other great pregnancy subscription boxes!

How to Get Amazon Baby Registry Welcome Box
In order to get this box for free, you will need to signup for an Amazon Family Account.
It doesn’t technically cost anything to signup for an Amazon Family Account, BUT you do have to have an active Prime Membership…so if you don’t have one, you’ll have to pay for it (be sure to check out all our favorite Amazon Prime benefits here).
We have been Amazon Prime members for years because of all the benefits (and because we probably get at least one Prime package a week…or more), so it’s definitely been worth it to us.
You can signup for your free Amazon Family Account here. You get the following benefits:
- Up to 20% off diapers, baby food, etc. – I LOVE Subscribe and Save!
- 15% baby registry completion discount
- Email newsletter with parenting tips and exclusive discounts
- You can share Prime Benefits with Family members
After you have signed up, you will need to create your registry. They require you add certain items from different categories to your Amazon Registry before they will say you qualify to get the box.
If you choose NOT to have a Prime Membership, you are required to make a purchase from your registry before you can get the box. You also will need to complete your registry.
After you have fulfilled the requirements, they will tell you that you can add the box to your cart!
It will say that the box is $35 – but don’t worry, the discount comes off once you get to the final stage of checking out. If it doesn’t, double check that you have completed all of the requirements.
What’s in the Amazon Welcome Box?
Now this is probably what you’ve been waiting for – what’s even in the box?!
Again, they may change this up periodicially, but as of July 2019, this is what I received:
These were my favorite three items:
- Amazing Baby Muslin Swaddle
- Body suit with elephants
- Dr. Brown’s Options+ Bottle with 0m+ nipple
These are all items that I know we will probably use at some point, and I feel like they bring up the value of the box. I LOVE muslin blankets, and the onesie was so soft.
Dr. Brown’s is my top pick for the best bottles for breastfed babies, so I was thrilled to see that in there. While I hope we can avoid bottles this time around, I’m glad that I have a new one from Dr. Brown’s in case we need to put some pumped milk in one from time to time!
- Avent Nursing Pads (2)
- Baby Cetaphil
- Dreft Sample
Just a couple of essentials that are nice to have on hand!
- Huggies Sampler Pack (3 diapers)
- Honest Company Sampler Pack (Diapers and Wipes)
I think it’s nice that they included samples from a couple of different brands. While we are wholeheartedly Pampers Swaddlers fans, beggers can’t be choosers, and I always like having extra diapers around!
So there you have it! Let me know what you got in your box.
