As a busy mom and wife I find myself trying to do anything I can to feel my very best during the winter and cold season.

I can’t afford to take a “sick day” when it comes to caring for my kids, and keeping up with the day to day duties. Now that school is in full-swing I know my family is being surrounded by new germs and I want to try and keep my family- and me- as healthy as possible.

While sometimes getting sick is unavoidable, I believe there are a few things that can be done to help you feel your very best– especially during the winter months!

I have been trying my hardest to implement these four things in our home and I think even though they are simple- they can be effective!

Wash Your Hands

The minute my girls get home from school or church the first thing I have them do is wash their hands! It seems so simple but it can be so easy to forget.

I also wash my hands after being at the grocery store, around sick people, before and during and after cooking- you get the idea!

It might sound silly but I make sure to buy soap with scents I really love, too! My kids like the foam soap and I feel like they waste it less when they have the pump. Doing small things like that can really make it easier to have your household remember to wash their hands more.

Get Plenty of Sleep

bed

I am so guilty of staying up too late- watching a show or scrolling through social media. And I pay for it every. single. morning. On the off chance that I do fall asleep before ten I always end up feeling so rested in the morning.  When my girls sleep through the night they are also more chipper, alert and pleasant to be around.

When your body gets the rest that it needs it is allowing it more time to fight off those nasty germs and illnesses that pop up in the winter.  When you feel rested and have had a good night’s sleep your mood and energy will automatically be at its best. Even if it is tempting to stay up late- remember how good it feels to get that extra sleep! It will benefit you in more ways than one!

CleanSanitize

I am the queen of sanitizing!

Nothing is more satisfying to me than taking a sanitizing wipe and rubbing it on door knobs, light switches and handles. Maybe that makes me sound a little crazy but I can just imagine the germs I’m washing away!  And if the germs are getting washed away then I know I’m doing my part to keep my home healthy and clean.

I keep wipes in all my bathrooms and at every sink so that I can easily sanitize any time. Keeping wipes handy has made it so easy to clean daily which definitely helps keep things tidy and clean. Which is one more way to help  not only you feel your best- but your home, too.

Take Vitamins

I admit- I have not always been the best about taking my vitamins. Until now. I recently discovered vitamins from Nature Made®.

Nature Made® is the #1 Pharmacist Recommended brand for many key dietary supplement categories* . While they have many different options to choose from I personally love the “Multi for Her” adult gummies- they taste so good (I get excited every time I go to eat one!) and the Vita Melts for your hair, skin and nails!

Remembering to take your vitamins can be so hard- trust me- but once you get in the routine it will become like second nature! And if you’re like me- you’ll feel good knowing that you’re doing something to keep you feeling healthy and strong.  And because sometimes I feel like I don’t have a lot of time  for the “extra me stuff” during the day- It helps me to know I am doing something good for myself  by taking them.

Plus-  Nature Made® vitamins and supplements are an easy, convenient way to help your body get the nutritional support it needs every day, whether it be to support bone health, immune health or energy metabolism (helping convert food into energy).†

You can buy  all these vitamins  at Walmart and  Walmart SuperCenters .

If you are interested in the Nature Made®  Probiotics they  can only be found at Walmart SuperCenters stores. Because they have a large variety  you will definitely find something that fits your family’s needs!

While I shopped for them at Walmart I was able to find exactly what I was looking for- everything was clearly labeled which made it so much easier for me to find what I needed. I was pleasantly surprised at the affordable price as well.

Because there’s nothing worse than feeling less than your best during the busy winter months I hope you will try to implement these four easy steps to help you feel your healthiest each day.
