Sunday Dinner Party

One of my goals for 2013 is to be better about planning meals, and buying the ingredients ahead of time. At the beginning of the day, I usually start out with the best intentions -- I'm going to cook an amazing, delicious meal. However, after a long day of my son not wanting to take a nap, me wishing I could take a nap, and trying to get school, work, and countless other things done, I run out of the motivation to think of anything for dinner.

So when five o'clock comes around, and Forrest asks if I had plans for dinner...I usually say, "I dunno...I'll think of something..." which usually results in him making dinner, or us going somewhere. Not the most efficient method. Forrest is really good at throwing together random ingredients without a plan, but not me. If I don't have it planned out ahead of time, it isn't going to happen.

So, like I said, I have made a goal to plan our meals out, and buy the ingredients on the Monday of each week. And, I'm happy to announce, I'm doing pretty well! Because I'm finding this whole "planning meals" thing worthwhile, I thought I'd post seven meal ideas that people can use to inspire their own meals for that week. I also might just post my meal planner at the beginning of each month as well.

These meals are ones that I found on Pinterest that I thought looked amazing. But I'd love for YOU to link up at the bottom of this post a recipe you'd like to have featured. It can be anything involved with dinner -- a main dish, side dish, soup, salad...the possibilities are endless! The party goes from Monday at 12:00 PM to Friday at 12:00, and then on Sunday I'll post my favorites, and then you can start linking up on Monday.

And if you've been featured, feel free to grab the button below!
