Hmmm that is frustrating and you definitely shouldn't have to replace anything at a week old, though it does sound like it might be a faulty rotary blade :( Did they offer to replace for free? What type of fabric are you using?

I am new to Cricut I am struggling with my Cricut Maker when cutting fabric. I use the rotary blade, the pink fabric mat, and the Design Space to cut my fabric. The issue: it is not cutting through parts of my fabric, and basically just scores it. I tried to set the pressure under Custom Materials to a high pressure, but it is now starting to cut through the pink mat and still not cutting through certain parts of the fabric! Please help me. I did chat with Cricut and they are saying I need a new rotary blade.....the machine is a week old!

I have not - I am sorry! I believe there is a material setting in Design Space, though, that is for bonded fabric. I would start with that!

I have been trying to work out cutting on the fold too. It will cut multiple layers if you use a temporary spray adhesive like 505 glue to hold the pieces of fabric together.

Wanted to give you an update. I was able to print on fabric. Not the best, but works pretty well. But, of course, I'm limited to 12x12 single layer... so not a t-shirt, onesie, or pillow case. Now, if I can think of a use for a small fabric (maybe framed??) then I'm all set. Thanks for your help.

As long as your printer can handle the fabric, then I don't see any reason why the Maker wouldn't be able to handle that. However, I have not tried this myself.

I haven't tried folded fabric - you could try, but I think it would move too easily and the cut would get messed up ( As far as the longest and widest - the pink cutting mat comes in 12x24, so that would be the longest you could cut :)
