We bought the Apple TV before we left and streamed from our computers and iPad to the tv. We had to use a VPN, but it really worked out well for us and we didn’t miss regular tv at all. When we moved back to the States, we decided not to get cable, but instead pay a little more for really great internet, which is still way cheaper than internet and cable combined. Now 2 1/2 years later, we still don’t miss cable. We can watch whatever we want using out Apple TV and computers. A great money saver to us. Great summary.
