Thanks for sharing! I totally understand your concerns. I think you would like a Bosch, because I have literally not heard of anyone’s breaking (though I’m sure there is a report here or there). And I’m with you – sometimes the hand mixer is the easiest option!

My husband’s family is huge on KitchenAid, but I have always grown up using a hand mixer. I personally am not a fan of the KitchenAid at all. Like you mentioned, putting stuff in while it is going is ALWAYS a mess. I store it away in a closet like space with all of our other appliances as our kitchen is a bit small so I like to keep the counters free. In this case, the heaviness of the KitchenAid is a bit annoying and cumbersome. I hate scraping the sides of the bowl while mixing! I would just rather have a hand mixer!
I would be interested in trying the Bosch mixer over the KitchenAid. I wanted to get my husband an attachment or two for the KitchenAid but because the warranty is so short and the reviews were mostly negative about something breaking and customer service not being very helpful/nice about it, I decided against spending so much money on something I would fear wouldn’t stand the test of time and use.
