These are very good ideas of things to keep only in your head! My situation has been more unusual and extremely hard emotionally. I've never wanted kids, wasn't "trying", and really don't look forward to caring for this one. I don't believe in abortion and adoption isn't an option for personal reasons.
Right from the start I got all the comments "Just wait till your baby's born, you'll never sleep again." And "Oh.. congratulations! It's about time!". Truth is.. I still don't want it to be "time", and he's due any day now. I've even gotten comments when I tell them I'm not looking forward to being a mother, things like "you know that's selfish right?" and "Well maybe God's giving you this baby to straighten that attitude of yours!". Seriously? I've literally locked myself in my apartment the last month in order to avoid the comments. I've stopped speaking even to family, who insist it's all a blessing and that I should be thrilled. In this situation.. I think it really is best just to keep all comments to yourself. When I've refused to answer questions, people turn to my husband and now he's becoming overwhelmed. With any topic in life, it's best not to make it the entire conversation. People really don't seem to know (or care) that each situation is different. If you don't intend on helping when you know the truth.. just don't talk about it!

I've had multiple well intentioned women tell me that I must be having a girl, because with a boy 'your face gets skinny and you don't gain weight anywhere but in your belly'... So that means...??? My face is fat and I look like I am gaining weight everywhere? As a hormonal pregnant woman these comments really cut deep!

This is so true! I wrote a post about the worst things last year and the best things a few weeks ago, and I completely agree! Plus when you are pregnant, you are super sensitive and people just don't seem to have a filter and they just say things that are rude without realizing they are rude. So this list is definitely helpful!
