Mom Voyage

I participated in a Blog Blast on behalf of Mom Central for Urbini. I received information from Urbini to facilitate my post as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.”

Sometimes it is easy to get stuck in our own world view of how mothers are (or should be.) Where I live, there’s not a ton of diversity. While that’s not really a bad thing — sometimes it’s nice to be around people who have similar parenting styles to you, it can limit your experience sometimes. There are mothers all over the world, so there’s definitely going to be some differences in parenting styles, names, and even how pregnancies are celebrated.

That’s why I’m so excited to introduce a new website called Mom Voyage. Mom Voyage was created by Urbini to help mothers around the world connect and understand each other a little bit better. I’ve loved being able to read the stories of other moms around the world and see not only the differences we have, but the universal similarities we all have, too. This comparison of baby shower traditions was a lot of fun, and it makes me want to incorporate some different ideas into the next baby shower I throw.

I think this is a great website that all moms can learn from. It really helps you realize that there’s a world outside your own little world. I feel very strongly about supporting one another in our motherhood journey, instead of tearing each other down, and I feel that Mom Voyage is helping that be a little bit easier.

Be sure to follow Urbini on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest!
