I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Chicco. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and as a thank you for participating.
If there’s one topic about babies I admit to knowing very little about, it would be bottles. Jack has had a grand total of three bottles in his life, so I never really had to try and figure out what kind was the best. So, when Mom Central sent me some Chicco NaturalFit bottles to try out, I decided to give them to my brother and sister-in-law, who have an infant, and then interview them about what they thought. Here’s their responses:
What has been your experience with NaturalFit bottles?
We have used the 0+ months bottle and the 2+ months bottle. Although Liam doesn’t use a bottle very often, he does take it about 3-5 times a week maybe. With our previous bottles, he always took awhile to latch on and seemed to be getting too much formula or milk and would start “choking” and would have to let go.
The first time that we gave him these bottles, he latched on to it quickly and didn’t “unlatch” until he was done. It just seemed like the nipple fit in his mouth better, and that is probably because of its flexibility and softness.
What features do you think are most helpful for you and your baby?
The nipple material and the “flexors” that are at the base of the nipple. I feel like the flexibility really helped Liam to latch on and stay on. The bottles themselves seemed really big at first, but they were actually really easy to hold and did not cause a problem.
Would you recommend this product to other Moms?
Yes, especially if their baby has a hard time latching on to other bottles.
What are your thoughts on the innovative design of the product? Share with your readers why you feel these features benefit bottle-feeding.
I really like the design of the bottles. Like I said, the bottles seemed big, but they are not hard to hold at all and they feel very comfortable in my hand. The design of the nipple is great and really helps babies to latch on.
I thought it was interesting to hear about some of the common issues someone might encounter with bottles. Who knows — maybe our next child will take a bottle more often (or maybe not), but I definitely will think about using this brand if I need it. What is your favorite brand of bottle?
We were also sent a Chicco Soft Silicon Pacifier and Deco Orthodontic Pacifier to try out. Jack didn’t want to take one, but I assume it’s because he’s already used to the pacifier he’s been given his whole life. However, I loved the design and shape these pacifiers, and that one is specifically meant to help teeth come in straight.
