Summer 2020 might look and feel a little different due to the current state of the country right now but that doesn’t mean it can’t be fun! You can still enjoy your summer while you quarantine! There are plenty of things you can do as a family to help you make this the best summer yet!

Right now you might be practicing social distancing and quarantining your family closer to home.

We’ve been told that going outside is an A-Okay thing to during quarantine. Just make sure to do it responsibly, stay 6 feet away from people outside your group and remember proper hygiene.
Going out and playing in the water is a summer time activity the entire family can enjoy!
If your local pools or lakes are open, be sure to follow all their newly implemented rules- but there’s no reason not to enjoy the water this summer.

You may not be ready to go to the Zoo or Museum but there are plenty of resources out there to enjoy them from home.
You can simply google virtual tours on look on YouTube and you’ll find tons of options. Or you can find World Tours, Classes, and Travel Experiences you can enjoy at home right here.
Rent a Bouncy House
If you have little ones than a bouncy house in the safety or your own back yard would be a big hit!
You can often find online coupons or deals for the best price!
Make a new recipe
Learn a new recipe whether it be a treat, dinner or side dish! Pick a recipe every week and gather your ingredients.
Make it a family activity and learn to make something new!
Write letters to family and friends
Now is the perfect time to reinstate the art of the hand written letter.
Find a grandparent, aunt, uncle or cousins and become pen pals! You could even make letter or cards for members of your local senior center and deliver them there.
Go on a hike
Again- get outside! Go on a walk, or a hike and explore your home town. If you are traveling google local parks or hiking trails and experience something you may not have otherwise!
Sun and fresh air is good for the soul! Take advantage of it!
Have a backyard camp out
Set up a tent, roast s’mores and enjoy total social distancing in the safety of your backyard.
Have a movie night
Designate a certain night each week to watch a movie as a family. Have yummy treats and enjoy a night in. This is the perfect time to spend more time together as a family. You could even do an outdoor movie screen for more fun!
