I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Dairy Queen. I received a product sample and promotional item to thank me for my participation.
April 15th has come and gone – did you get your taxes in on time? I know that this time of year is stressful for most people, but for my dad, it’s his most stressful time of year. He prepares taxes, and the closer it gets to the deadline, the more stressful it gets. Forrest has been working for him some this year, so he got to experience a little bit of that as well!
We decided that it would be fun to take some Dairy Queen over to my parent’s house on April 15th for a little end-of-tax-season celebration. It’s been warming up around here lately, as well, so that made it even more fun.
I guess this month DQ is celebrating their 75th “Fanniversary”, which is highlighting the ever-popular Blizzard. Throughout the month of April, employees will “flip” your blizzard over to show you that it won’t fall out! If they don’t, your blizzard is free!
When we went in to get our Blizzards to take to my parent’s house, I was very impressed with the staff – Jack and I were sitting on this chair waiting for our order, when the cashier asked us to come back so he could flip all of them for us. Then he proceeded to flip all six of the Blizzards we ordered. If I were him, I would just have done one and called it good. Way to go, Blizzard employee!
I don’t recommend doing it once you get home, and it’s had a chance to melt. My little brother did it really quickly with success …
But then Forrest did it, and all his fell out on the chair. It was sad. But he still ate it. Because how could you let a delicious Blizzard go to waste?!
Everyone got different flavors, but they were all delicious. I personally love the mini size – that’s about all the ice cream I can handle these days.
It was such a fun night of relaxing and eating ice cream. The perfect end to Tax Season for sure. What’s your favorite flavor? Even though I got a salted caramel flavor this time, I couldn’t help but envy my little brother’s Oreo flavor. Classic, but delicious.
