Create a #Moem, Support a Family

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of MetLife Foundation for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I always have loved Mother’s Day. I think being able to celebrate all the mothers in our lives (as well as those who have those same maternal qualities, regardless of their mom-status) on that day is so special. None of us would be here without a mother!

I created a couple little #Moem poems using the MetLife MoemMaker. What’s a #Moem? Well, it’s a poem about a mother, of course, that is specifically designed to be shared on your social networks, in 135 characters or less. Here are a few I came up with:

Mother’s Day comes once a year, I hope this poem brings you cheer!

For this special day, in the month of May, for my wonderful mother, I say hooray!

Grandma from the bottom of my heart, because of you, I’m really smart!

Obviously, these are all kind of silly, but they are a fun way to show the special mothers in your life that you are thinking of them. You can create a #Moem by going to MoemMaker.com, and from there, you can immediately share them on Twitter or Facebook.  Here’s a screenshot of me making one of mine:

One of the best things about creating a #Moem is that for every one that is made, MetLife will donate $10 to Dress for Success. Dress for Success is an organization that helps low-income women achieve economic independence by supporting their education endeavours. It’s a great cause, and since making a #Moem takes 10 seconds, I think it’s worth the effort!
