When I was in second grade, I got a very special letter.
It was from Santa Claus. One day, all my classmates and I arrived to our classroom to find a handwritten, personal letter from the jolly man himself. The handwriting wasn’t our teacher’s, so I knew it was legit.
I treasured that letter – it was a full-page, and it seemed like Santa really knew who I was. I loved it.
I know some people debate whether Santa Claus should be celebrated or not, but it’s a tradition I truly love. I loved Santa growing up, and it’s so fun to see the magic of Santa Claus light up Jack’s eyes.
We’ve been getting text messages from Santa, which have been fun, but there’s just something so special about a letter coming from Santa.
I just saw the other day that Safeway had a fun Letter from Santa promotion going on – it’s totally free and after filling in a few details about your child, a custom letter is created for you to print off. It’s on North Pole stationary, and the letters are SO cute!
I had one printed off for Jack as well as for Oliver. The one for Oliver was written for a newborn baby, and it honestly made me tear up a little bit. Jack’s was really sweet as well, and he was so excited to get it from the mail and have me read it to him.
All you have to do is head over to Safeway’s website and fill in some basic information. Then you print it of, along with the custom mailing label, and place it in your mailbox for your child to find. It’s totally free, and you even get coupons from Coke, Oreo, and RedBox.
I just thought this was a fun and simple way to enjoy the magic of the Christmas season. I’ll definitely be keeping these letters in our scrapbooks!
