We will be ringing in the new year in less than a month, and I am wondering what in the world happened to the last decade.
We are hosting a small party. But, like Julia Child said, a party isn’t a party without a cake, and party favors…well, I may have paraphrased that. So, I am working on New Year’s Eve Party Favor ideas.
I really want the party favors to be something that I can easily make on a budget. So, I created a simple SVG file. This file is perfect for coasters, cards – it would be so beautiful on a textured paper in gold foil, and on wine bottle bags. This would actually be a great holiday or wedding gift idea too!
Make a New Year’s Eve Party Favor
This is a super easy project! I was able to make a dozen of them in less than an hour!
Before you get started, here’s a list of everything you will need:
- Cricut Machine
- Iron-On Vinyl
- EasyPress 2 or EasyPress Mini
- Iron-On Protective Sheet
- Wine Bottle Bags
- Optional – Infusible Ink Markers and Coasters; Paper and Foil Quill
- SVG File
Start by downloading the SVG File, and then upload it to Design Space.
Size the SVG to fit your project. Then, send it to cut. Don’t forget to mirror the cut, and place the Iron On Vinyl on the cutting mat shiny side down. If you are cutting more than one image, be sure to change the cut quantity too.

Weed the excess vinyl.
Press the Iron On to the bag according to Cricut’s recommended heat settings.
That’s it! It’s super easy and perfect for all celebrations!
