They changed the razors a bit since your review for Billie. I have not had issues with that with mine and I have had he same blade on for 3 weeks used every other day. As for the magnetic holder, I have textured tile and it stuck to mine and has not fallen down. I cleaned the area first and pressed hard for like 20 sec when I put it on the tile. It ya stayed up since last fall.

In reply to Amber. I don't know where the price difference comes in, but I was not incorrect at the time of my ordering. I looked at the site several times. Believe me, if I was trying to be biased, I would have made DSC look a lot better, because I actually get paid when people sign up under those links. It is weird though! I have not tried Flamingo, but I'll look into that ASAP and do a review.

I’ve been a DSC customer for a couple years and I have the most expensive razor and blades, and it’s only $9 a month. I don’t know where you got the $16 price from, but that’s incorrect. I even logged out of my account to make sure I wasn’t grandfathered into a lower price, but even then the price is still showing $9/mo for executive blades, and $6/mo for the cheaper ones.

Have you tried out flamingo? I’m curious to see how it compares to Billie.

Hi, Lisa! Glad you enjoyed this review 🙂 The magnetic thing not working really irked me – because that’s what I was looking forward to most! I hope they come up with a better way for it to stick. It just comes with some putty, and it does not work well. As far as the rusting goes, if you are able to keep it dry and make sure to remember to put the cover back on, I would *hope* it would prevent rust better. I always forget to put mine back on, though the DSC didn’t rust either way. Anyways, I hope someone else can chime in. Because I think it is a better-designed razor for a woman!

Has anyone else experienced this rust issue w/Billie as well(?!) because I was literally about to buy in to it until I read that part… before that I was reading her review like YAS now I KNOW I wasn’t just being prissy, it’s a real thing(!!) meaning- I felt exactly the same about DSC – that it didn’t move well with feminine curves and so ultimately was not an overall satisfying result so I cancelled my refills before they came. But then again, I too also LOVED the weight of the handle. It really does feel like it’s made to last and in general way more well made than anything you’ll get out there (esp for 5 bucks!!) but it just never felt comfy or like I was holding MY razor. It was so hard to hold the d@mn thing to shave my bikini area that I couldn’t really accomplish shaving my curvy bits unless I held it upside down & gripped it by the outside of the blade head so I knew it wouldn’t slip and create a bigger issue!! Yeah, see what I’m sayin? Does that sound fun? No. Comfy ease of frequent bikini shaving w/out flesh wounds is a must for me (umm everyone lol).. But I could just never get comfortable holding the handle normal, very aggravating so I cancelled my subscription but now I’m at a loss for what to do and it’s past time for a cartridge lol. Besides the awkwardness the DSC shave result WAS superior to ANY store bought razors I’ve used. I saw Billie and was like omg, maybe THIS is it then, BUT who wants a razor that is going to rust 2 weeks??? And another huge selling point was the supposed oh-so-nifty magnet holder that she says wouldn’t even stay on the wall & she ended up tossing? WTH? That’s no good either!! Sounds like the overall design of their system is lacking in reliability besides the aloe encased rounded blade heads and just gah HALP someone??!!! PS great detailed review she gave !!!

LOL seriously? She did an impartial review and picked the one she liked better. And she said the Billie razor rusted after a couple of weeks – that sounds like bias to you?

I don’t subscribe to either service, and I looked at both. Both services present you with a starter kit and restock service, and the prices match exactly what’s stated in the review. There is no readily apparent option to select either a cheaper or more expensive option. Maybe you should look for yourself so you understand a little bit better, and then you can apologize for baselessly accusing someone of bias.

I have been a DSC member for about a year. I have loved them, but I have had problems with my razor breaking (it’s kinda my fault because they keep falling). I have been wanting to try something new for a while, but I haven’t known of anything else. Until recently. A friend of mine posted about Billie and how she loves it (and the shaving cream). So I jumped on the bandwagon. I just ordered my first package, and I’m extremely excited. I’ll update on my opinion!
